Thank you from OM&M – 159 parcels for families in our reverse advent calendar
In December, we asked the local community to help us bring Christmas to those in need, by supporting
our first Reverse Advent Calendar appeal.
We collected for the community FoodBank and Toy Appeal, run by The Salvation Army, so that we could deliver food items and festive treats to the local families in need.
And we are very happy to say that the response was incredible.
For two weeks, we were inundated with bags and boxes full of luxury gifts, dvds, toiletries and food items from members of the public.
The goods were delivered to The Salvation Army, just before Christmas, so gift parcels could be prepared.
From the donated goods, 159 individual parcels were prepared, all full of toys, gifts, sweets and stocking fillers for families in our area.
A letter, from The Salvation Army, said;
“We want to express our sincere thanks to you all for the support you have given to The Salvation Army.
Families in need will appreciate the lovely gifts donated, together with the food items, which complimented those given by the local community”.
In addition to the 159 individual parcels, the charity were also able to distribute food parcels.
Jemma Wixted, Associate Legal Executive here at Osborne Morris & Morgan, who managed the project, said:
“Members of the public from Leighton Buzzard and beyond were coming into the office to see us with lots of different food items and presents for our Reverse Advent Calendar. It was great to see the community supporting such a worthwhile cause during the festive season. We wish to thank all of those who dropped their donations off to us. We wouldn’t have been able to do this without them. We hope to repeat the appeal and do this again later this year”.
So from all of us at Osborne Morris & Morgan, we wish to thank all of you, for your generosity.
