Supporting Our Community

It is no big secret that here, at Osborne Morris & Morgan, community support and charity work is very important to us. We’re proud to support the many local organisations and initiatives which help to improve the lives of people within our community of Leighton Buzzard, throughout Bedfordshire and beyond.

Here are just some that we work closely with…

Harry's Rainbow Logo

Harry’s Rainbow

Members of staff at Osborne Morris & Morgan often help to raise funds for local charity, Harry’s Rainbow. The charity works tirelessly to support families in the Milton Keynes and surrounding areas, who have lost a significant loved one, such as a parent or a sibling.

They do this by providing resources, group activities, trips and family outings and access to their monthly Rainbow group.

We stand with the charity in believing that families should not have to pay to support their grieving children, particularly when they are also grieving for their partner or child.

Kids Out - Fun and happiness charity

KidsOut

We are proud to support KidsOut – a charity that delivers a range of services to disadvantaged children.

These are children who are the most vulnerable, have been abused, find themselves living in refuges, have suffered a serious injury and are disabled. KidsOut aims to give those children positive experiences to support them becoming future members of our society and workforce.

These services include “A Big Day Out”, which takes place every June and involves taking 25,000 disadvantaged children out for a day. This creates a lasting memory for those children who have never had the opportunity to, for example, visit the seaside, or a theme park. The charity also provides a Toy Box service whereby children are provided with a box of brand new toys, when they find themselves relocated. This helps bring stability and fun into the children’s lives, when they need it the most.

KidsOut also organise “Fun Days” in which children are taken out to local attractions and they also fund “Phyzzpod”. This is a cost-effective sensory environment which helps stimulate imaginations, develop speech and expressive skills in those children that through their experiences, have not been able to develop adequately.

To find out more and to support the children, you can visit the KidsOut website.

Yes We Can

Leighton Linslade Rotary Club

We have joined forces and partnered with the Rotary Club of Leighton Linslade to help deliver projects as part of the ‘Yes We Can’ program.

A donation of £1,000 has recently been given to help fund some of the planned sports days and are working closely to promote the overall initiative and all of it’s projects.

The ‘Yes We Can’ program was founded in 2017 by Rotary Club member, Richard Johnson OBE, after he noticed a distinct lack of sports activities for the disabled in the local community.

Today, the initiative is supported by other organisations, including Leighton Buzzard Mencap and the Families United Network, to bring affordable and sustainable sporting opportunities to those with a disability.

We have recently won the 2023 ‘Yes We Can’ Special Recognition Award.
