It is no big secret that here, at Osborne Morris & Morgan, community support and charity work is very important to us. We’re proud to support the many local organisations and initiatives which help to improve the lives of people within our community of Leighton Buzzard, throughout Bedfordshire and beyond.
Here are just some that we work closely with…
Leighton Linslade Rotary Club
We have joined
forces and partnered with the Rotary Club of Leighton Linslade to help deliver
projects as part of the ‘Yes We Can’ program.
A donation of £1,000 has recently been given to help fund some
of the planned sports days and are working closely to promote the overall
initiative and all of it’s projects.
The ‘Yes We Can’ program was founded in 2017 by Rotary Club
member, Richard Johnson OBE, after he noticed a distinct lack of sports
activities for the disabled in the local community.
Today, the initiative is supported by other organisations, including Leighton Buzzard Mencap and the Families United Network, to bring affordable and sustainable sporting opportunities to those with a disability.
We have recently won the 2023 ‘Yes We Can’ Special Recognition Award.
We are proud sponsors of Leighton Town Football Club for this 2025/26 season.
Like Leighton Town Football Club, the OM&M team are
passionate about supporting organisations who share the same focus – on making a difference.
Paul Lockhart, OM&M Finance Director , explains, “We believe it’s very important to support our local community and what better way than to sponsor our town’s football club so that they can achieve their goals, of which include; upgrading their facilities, achieve promotion and reconnecting with the youth.
OM&M are proud of this new partnership and we wish the team
all the best for the season.”
Leighton Town Football Club is a family friendly members Club, whose home is located at Bell Close, Leighton Buzzard. The club is affiliated to the Bedfordshire FA and currently play in the Pitching In Southern League Division One Central.
We are proud to partner with KidsOut, a charity based right here in Leighton Buzzard, supporting children and young people facing vulnerability and disadvantage across the UK – particularly those affected by domestic abuse.
Their vision is simple yet powerful: a society where every child who has experienced domestic abuse has the opportunity to feel joy, hope, and the simple pleasures of childhood.
KidsOut provides vital, unwavering support to children living in refuge. Through positive and uplifting experiences, they bring moments of happiness and normality during incredibly challenging times – helping children and young people build confidence, process trauma, and begin their journey of healing and recovery.
Specialist support for children in refuge is not a luxury – it is essential. From comforting toy boxes on arrival and gifts at Christmas, to memorable days out at the beach, zoo, or cinema, KidsOut creates moments that truly matter. They also provide practical support, including laptops to aid education and food vouchers to help families rebuild their lives.
Appledown Rescue and Rehoming Kennels was established in 1999. Since that time, they have worked tirelessly in the local area to take in dogs that, for many reasons and often through no fault of their own, have ended up as strays and unwanted pets.
They have a simple aim to give each stray and unwanted dogs a warm bed, good food, medical treatment and love until, when the time is right, they find them a home. Their hope is that home is forever, where they can finally live the life of a much-loved pet, the life every dog deserves.
Our Practice Director, Sarah Winters, said:
“At Osborne Morris & Morgan, we believe in giving back to our local community, and supporting Appledown Rescue is something truly close to our hearts. Their dedication to rescuing and rehoming dogs in need is inspiring, and we’re proud to play a part in helping their mission. Whether it’s through fundraising, volunteering, or simply spreading awareness, we want to ensure these wonderful dogs get the care and love they deserve.”
We are pleased to
support our local choir with a £1,000 sponsorship donation.
Music fan and Managing Partner at OM&M, Tim Woolford, said; “OM&M is delighted to
support the talented singers who dedicate their time to rehearse and perform
for our local community. We’re lucky to have a group such as this in the town
and we wish them every success in their up and coming events”.
The Leighton Buzzard Festival Singers was formed in 1951 – the year of the Festival of Britain. The group consists of 60 singers, who rehearse every Monday evening at Clipstone Brook Lower School in Leighton Buzzard. The group usually perform two concerts each year in Leighton Buzzard and also perform at summer fetes, dinners and weddings.
Our partnership
with Willen Hospice goes beyond Business Club Corporate Membership- we also
take the opportunity to fund raise for the local hospice within the community
at events and raise awareness through our marketing campaigns.
Willen Hospice are a registered charity that provides specialist
palliative care in Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas.
An estimated 850,000 people in the UK currently live with dementia, a figure that is set to grow rapidly over the next several decades due to the increase of life expectancy. Latest predictions tell us that a startling 1 in 3 born in the UK this year will develop dementia in their lifetime.
At Osborne Morris & Morgan, we are recognised as Dementia Friends after learning about the condition and how we can help those affected.
Transitions UK is a local charity that supports vulnerable young people aged 12 – 25 years who are struggling with personal disadvantages. Young people who have learning disabilities and special needs; those with emotional and mental health issues; those leaving care; and those at risk of offending or criminal exploitation.
Here at Osborne Morris & Morgan, we are committed to supporting Transitions UK in their invaluable work.
Harry’s Rainbow
Members of staff
at Osborne Morris & Morgan often help to raise funds for local
charity, Harry’s Rainbow. The charity works tirelessly to support families in
the Milton Keynes and surrounding areas, who have lost a significant loved one,
such as a parent or a sibling.
They do this by providing resources, group activities, trips and
family outings and access to their monthly Rainbow group.
We stand with the charity in believing that families should not
have to pay to support their grieving children, particularly when they are also
grieving for their partner or child.
In addition to the
above charities, we also support our local schools by advertising in their
magazines, offering work experience and sponsoring local events.
