Donate items to our Reverse Advent Calendar this Christmas
This Christmas, we are asking the local community to help us bring a little festive cheer to those in need, by supporting our Reverse Advent Calendar.
We are collecting for the community Food Bank and Toy Appeal, run by The Salvation Army and hope to be able to deliver food items and festive treats to the local families who depend on the initiatives.
Our Associate Legal Executive, Jemma Wixted, who is managing the project, said;
“We will have 2 large boxes in our reception where we will be bringing food items and gifts in every day.
On 17th December we will be handing this over to the Salvation Army who will be delivering the items to those in need in the local community this Christmas.
We are asking Leighton Buzzard to join us in supporting The Salvation Army, who work so hard to look after local residents in need, by donating items”.
A list of food items that are needed can be found on their website and in addition, festive treats are also welcome such as biscuits, chocolates etc.
“We have been told that there is always a need for gifts for teenagers -stationery, DVDs, toiletries as the younger children are often bought for”, says Jemma.
