Osborne Morris & Morgan are recertified with Cyber Essentials Award
We are proud to announce that we have received the Cyber Essentials recertification – demonstrating to all of our employees, clients and contacts that we take cyber security very seriously.
What is Cyber Essentials?
Cyber Essentials is a Government approved scheme designed to help protect organisations from the threat of most common cyber-attacks.
A Government survey found that almost 50% of businesses and charities haven’t implemented the government’s five basic security practices from Cyber Essentials.
The five key security practices, including maintaining firewalls, running anti-virus software and introducing IT admin rights to specific users.
To obtain accreditation, organisations must demonstrate that they are using all five of the security practices.
At Osborne Morris & Morgan, we continuously work on implementing and managing controls so that we are protected against cyber attacks.
“Securing the accreditation for the seventh-year running is testament to how seriously we take cyber security at Osborne Morris & Morgan. Openness, trust and transparency are core to fighting the threat of cybercrime and we welcome schemes such as Cyber Essentials, which help give clarity and assurance to our clients and employees. We would like to thank MIRUS IT for their continued support.”
Osborne Morris & Morgan were first awarded in 2018 – in readiness for the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulation, which came into effect on 25th May 2018.
