She’s done it again! OM&M’s Laura conquers Manchester Marathon

A solicitor has done the double and successfully run the Greater Manchester Marathon for charity – despite running the London Landmarks Half Marathon just two weeks ago.
Head of Conveyancing solicitor, and local mum, Laura Everitt, took part in the event on Sunday, to raise funds and awareness of the pregnancy and baby charity, Tommy’s.
She tackled the 26.2-mile course along with around 20,000 other runners in five hours and 26 minutes.
Laura said of the challenge;
“The marathon was mentally and physically tough, but I finished it and now feel proud that I have both raised money for Tommy’s, and run my second marathon.
It was fantastic to see so many people running and raising money for so many different charities, often ones that they have a personal connection to. Lots of local people were supporting runners around the course- I high-fived lots of children who were handing out jelly babies along the way!”.
One of Europe’s largest marathon events
The Greater Manchester Marathon is one of Europe’s largest marathon events, which takes runners to Altrincham and back – on the flattest and fastest marathon course in the country.

Raising funds for Tommy’s
Laura chooses to run and fundraise for Tommy’s, as her son, Lewis, now aged 5, was born prematurely, at 33 weeks.
Tommy’s are the largest charity to fund research into the causes of miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth, and provide pregnancy health information to families.
Laura has so far raised £295 of her £350 target. To help Laura in her quest, visit her fundraising page HERE.
A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS once again Laura! From everyone at Osborne Morris & Morgan solicitors.
