Reverse Advent Calendar at Osborne Morris & Morgan

Christmas is often said to be the season of giving – where we share the things that we are fortunate to have when others might not be so fortunate.

A law firm in Leighton Buzzard wanted to take the spirit of giving to the next level.

Osborne Morris & Morgan, on West Street, organised a Reverse Advent Calendar to help the homeless on the countdown to Christmas.

Members of the community were encouraged to join the solicitors in their campaign, by bringing in food items and Christmas gifts to their office, for The Salvation Army to collect, to then prepare into parcels.

The charity then distribute the parcels to vulnerable families and disadvantaged individuals in the local area.

Admin Assistant, Alex Glyde, said; “This was the second time we’ve organised a Reverse Advent Calendar – the first being last year, and once again, we were inundated with food items and festive treats for those in need this Christmas.

There is a huge financial strain on many people at this time of year, and for many people, keeping warm and avoiding hunger is enough of a challenge in itself.

Thank you to everyone who got involved this year. We’re looking forward to finding out just how many parcels The Salvation Army have made up using our donations.”
