Osborne Morris & Morgan ‘Wear It Blue’ for BDCPS
It was Wear It Blue on Friday 24th May, and so the team at Osborne Morris & Morgan came to work wearing blue, for a donation of £2 each, to help raise funds for the Bedford & District Cerebral Palsy Society.
The small Bedford-based charity, provide playschemes and youth clubs for disabled people aging from 0-25years, as well as support and funding.
BDCPS specialise in providing support for those who live with cerebral palsy- a condition which affects muscle control and movement. It usually results from damage or injury to the developing brain, before, during or after birth.
The charity’s main aim is to focus on ability, and not disability.
As well as the dress down day, staff held a cake sale in reception and organised a raffle to ‘bump’ their fundraising total as much as possible for the BDCPS.
Alex Glyde, Administration Assistant at OM&M, said;
“We were so pleased to raise a total of £120 on Wear It Blue day, but also to raise awareness for the BDCPS”.
