OM&M sponsors of Leighton Buzzard Festival Singers

We are proud to announce our sponsorship of local choir group, Leighton Buzzard Festival Singers.
We have been pleased to support the choir’s most recent concert the Family Summer Show, which took place on the 6th July at Brooklands School.
The Leighton Buzzard Festival Singers wowed a crowd of young music enthusiasts at the concert purely aimed at the younger generation.
Audience members enjoyed renditions of ‘Captain Noah and his Floating Zoo’ by Michael Flanders and Joseph Horowitz, ‘Lear Songs’ by William Mathias as well as numerous solos by young performers covering songs such as ‘Over the Rainbow’ from The Wizard of Oz. There were also teddy bear giveaways and balloons on the night.
Choir member, Thomas Hedley, on behalf of the LBFS, said;
“This was a different type of concert for LBFS, aimed at bringing choir music to children as well as encouraging younger membership to the choir. We hope this type of concert will be the first of many”.
Music fan and Managing Partner at OM&M, Tim Woolford, said;
“OM&M is delighted to support the talented singers who dedicate their time to rehearse and perform for our local community. We’re lucky to have a group such as this in the town and we wish them every success in their up and coming events”.
The Leighton Buzzard Festival Singers was formed in 1951 – the year of the Festival of Britain. The group consists of 60 singers, who rehearse every Monday evening at Clipstone Brook Lower School in Leighton Buzzard.
The group usually perform two concerts each year in Leighton Buzzard and also perform at summer fetes, dinners and weddings.
