OM&M retain The Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme award

CQS

The Conveyancing team at Osborne Morris & Morgan have retained the Conveyancing Quality Scheme award – a best practice quality mark that clients can trust.

Buying or selling a home is often one of the largest transactions many of us will ever make.

So, you will want to make sure that you have an expert Conveyancing solicitor, from a professionally accredited conveyancing firm, to look after your files and ensure that everything runs smoothly.

But which Conveyancing solicitor do you choose, and how will you know if they are credible?

The Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) is a great place to start.

The CQS is the recognised quality standard for residential conveyancing which aims to give confidence to the consumer when choosing a Conveyancing professional.

For qualifying members, achieving accreditation is not by any means a straightforward process, and involves submitting a detailed application form and subsequent assessment by the Law Society’s technical panel.

Jemma, Laura and Melissa, our award-winning Conveyancing team, are delighted with their re-accreditation

Our Conveyancing team at Osborne Morris & Morgan are proud to report that they have, once again, demonstrated that they follow best practice, meet the standards of technical knowledge and client service, and have all the skills and expertise to provide residential conveyancing services to the highest standard.

It also shows that we are able to satisfy the requirements of regulators, lenders and insurers.

Laura Everitt, who is Head of Conveyancing at OM&M, said;

“We have once again received confirmation that we have been awarded with our CQS accreditation from the Law Society. This is a recognised quality standard and really assists us if solicitors on the other side of transactions are also CQS accredited. It means that transactions run more smoothly and there is a standard that we all can work towards together for a smooth and stress free move for the clients”.

The Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) first launched in January 2011 to offer regulators, lenders, insurers and home movers a recognisable standard of excellence in the provision of residential conveyancing services.

This year, the scheme has been relaunched and now focuses on the delivery of three core values, which are:

  • Members will proactively and effectively manage risk and demonstrate behaviours that support and promote the integrity of CQS and the community;
  • Members will demonstrate best practice and excellence in client care through robust practice management of residential conveyancing;
  • Members will demonstrate thorough knowledge and skill in handling conveyancing transactions.

If you are thinking of moving house, our CQS accreditation will give you further peace of mind that you are making the right, informed choice in using our Conveyancing services.
