He did it! MK Snap inspires Costs Lawyer in SPORTIVE success
Mike Fitsell, a Costs Lawyer from Osborne Morris & Morgan has successfully completed a 75-mile challenge at the BCG SPORTIVE 2019.
He joined over 200 riders on Sunday for the fourth annual charity event, organised by Broughton Cycling Group (BCG). This year, BCG were raising funds for the Spinal Injuries Association (SIA) and MK Snap.
Mike, whose brother and sister both enjoy attending MK Snap, was only too happy to take part in the SPORTIVE to ‘give back’ and raise funds for the charity.
He has so far raised £210 in sponsorship – which will help the charity to deliver it’s programme of education, life skills, work preparation and opportunities to adults with learning disabilities.
Avid cyclist, Mike, said;
“It was a lovely day out with pretty much ideal weather conditions. In the end I cycled 81.37 miles – after cycling to the start as well!
Thanks very much to those who have sponsored me for the ride. As always, your support is very much appreciated. There is still time to pledge some money for anyone else wishing to contribute”.
The sportive, which is in it’s fourth year, offered riders a choice of three different routes; the new Cheeky 25-mile, the Classic 50-mile and the Epic 75-mile – all around the stunning villages surrounding Milton Keynes, Bucks and Beds. Brooklands Farm Primary School in Milton Keynes will be the start and end gate for the rides.

“This year’s event was a great example of the friendly and welcoming atmosphere our sportive is known for. The event staff and our community cheered every last rider home, whilst raising money for two brilliant MK charities. I’m amazed at what we have achieved as a team and I’m looking forward to organising many more Sportives with this fantastic group.”
Osborne Morris & Morgan supplied 400 water bottles for the event.
