Who will look after your affairs, estate and children after you have passed away?
Too many people are dying without a Will, and in this circumstance, intestacy rules and the law will set out who will inherit your property and administer your estate… not necessarily reflecting your wishes.
We are specialists in Will writing and we can help you to write your Will to ensure your estate goes to the people you want it to. It also means the people you care for can go through less complicated processes and reduce the stress of what is already a difficult time.
Our Will advisor is a full member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) – the professional body for practitioners who specialise in family inheritance and succession planning.
Having a Will also enables you to:
- Appoint executors
- Make provision for children/ grandchildren
- Make provision for disabled relatives and friends
- Reduce tax liability
- Protect family businesses
- Make provision for unmarried partner
- Benefit charities
- Appoint guardians
One of our clients made a video diary when making their Mirror Will – Take a look to see what is involved in the process.
To reduce the risk of problems or disputes in the future, Osborne Morris & Morgan can help you with your Will requirements.
By understanding your intentions and personal circumstances, we will ensure your property is passed on to those you care about.
Register with Certainty
Once you have completed your Will we recommend that you register your Will with Certainty – the National Will Register and search service, endorsed by The Law Society.
If you register your Will, it can then be found quickly and easily when you have passed away, protecting you and your family and ensuring that your wishes are carried out.
Certainty does not need to see a copy of your Will. Your Will’s existence is recorded and the location tagged on the register. No content of the Will is divulged. Our specialist Wills advisors can help you with this process.
To prevent the risk of your Will being damaged at home, in an event such as a fire or flood, or being lost or damaged, you can store your Will with us. We will give you a Will card to give to your executor and any family members you wish.
The Osborne Morris & Morgan Wills Card
When you arrange your Will with us, you will receive a FREE Wills card for you to pass onto your executor(s). The card details the location of your Will.
