The Osborne Morris and Morgan (OMM) law firm
was founded in Bletchley in 1980. From the outset, OMM specialised
in the provision of private client services with a particular
emphasis upon personal injury, financial management, trusts
and conveyancing services to clients throughout the Home Counties.
A second office, that subsequently became
the headquarters for the law firm opened in Leighton Buzzard
in 1982. The practice has since evolved into a team with a
national reputation as lawyers, solicitors and neurolawyers
providing legal services throughout the United Kingdom.
Now with offices in Milton Keynes and Leighton
Buzzard providing private client legal services
with a particular emphasis upon catastrophic personal injury,
clinical negligence, financial management and property services,
OMM utilise the latest online information technology to provide
to all our clients an unrivalled portfolio of quality legal
services.
OMM is a Lexcel accredited law firm. The
Lexcel quality mark is only awarded to those who meet the

Eric Morris
Senior Partner & Head of Court of Protection |
| Head of the Court of Protection
team, Eric was admitted as a Solicitor in 1977.
He has extensive experience in very large personal
injury claims and has handled numerous multi-million
pound High Court claims over the past 20 years.
Whilst continuing with his High Court work, Eric
also acts as a Trustee for or on behalf of clients.
He is also a Deputy, appointed by the Court of
Protection, for clients who have suffered serious
acquired brain injuries and who need ongoing assistance
with their financial affairs. He was instrumental
in creating OMM’s dedicated Court of Protection
department, handling the administration and investment
of substantial funds on behalf of individuals who
have suffered serious injury. |
Sonia Hodges
Partner – Head of Personal Injury and Neurolaw |
| Sonia obtained her law degree
at Cardiff University and qualified as a Solicitor
in 1996. Sonia subsequently gained extensive experience
in road traffic, employer’s liability and
public liability work acting almost exclusively
for claimants. Sonia now specialises in brain
injury, fatal accident and catastrophic injury
claims. |
Peter Morgan
Consultant - Property Law |
| After graduating
with a London University Law Degree, Peter qualified
as a solicitor in 1978 and founded OMM with Tom
Osborne and Eric Morris in 1980. Having retired as a partner in the firm Peter now uses his wide experience in property law in his role as Consultant to the firm’s property department |
Melanie Williams
Solicitor and TEP – Head of Wills, Trusts and Probate |
| Melanie was admitted as a Solicitor in 1995 and joined Osborne Morris & Morgan in 2009. Melanie’s work focuses on the administration of over fifty personal injury and will trusts which hold assets of over £25 million. Her work involves dealing with day to day enquiries from beneficiaries, liaising with trustees, investment and tax matters and the provision of trust accounts. Melanie drafts wills for our trust clients and deals with statutory will applications for those clients who are within our Court of Protection department. She is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and a member of the Private Client Section of the Law Society. |
Jackie Robertson
Licensed Conveyancer |
| Jackie heads the Property department at our Bletchley office. Jackie qualified
as a Licensed Conveyancer in 1997 after acquiring
many years experience undertaking residential
conveyancing in London and Leighton Buzzard before
joining OMM in Bletchley in 1985. She has extensive
experience in all aspects of property matters. |
Trisha McSkeane
Solicitor |
| Trish commenced her legal career in 2002, having previously worked as a qualified nurse for over 10 years. She recently joined Osborne Morris and Morgan from a London firm where she trained and qualified as a solicitor in 2007, having specialised in clinical negligence from the outset. |
Patricia Old
Conveyancing Executive |
| Pat commenced her career in conveyancing in 1982, gaining extensive experience
in managing volume residential conveyancing before
joining OMM in 1999. Enthused with the opportunities
that e-conveyancing will be presenting in the
next few years, Pat is actively involved in the new
Solicitors Estate Agency initiatives at OMM’s
Bletchley office. |
Lorraine Stevens |
| Lorraine is Personal Assistant
to Eric and has been with Osborne Morris &
Morgan for eighteen years. Lorraine has had extensive
experience in both large High Court personal injury
claims and Court of Protection matters. Lorraine
ensures the smooth running of the Court of Protection
department and handles the day to day administration
tasks in conjunction with Eric. Lorraine enjoys
client contact and her sympathetic and understanding
approach is much appreciated by our clients. |

Tim Woolford
Managing Partner |
| Tim was admitted
to the Roll in 1995 and has been with OMM since
2000. He is a member of the Law Society Personal
Injury Panel; a member of the Association of Personal
Injury Lawyers and Headway (the brain injury association)
and the Spinal Injuries Association.
In the three years to December 2006, Tim secured
damages for his clients in excess of £13.5m. |
David Turner
Partner – Head of Clinical Negligence |
| David was admitted to the Roll
in 1990 and since 1993, has specialised exclusively
in Clinical Negligence litigation. He was admitted
to the AvMA Clinical Negligence and The Law Society
Clinical Negligence panels in 1996. |
Gary Williams
Partner – Clinical Negligence |
| Gary was admitted
as a Solicitor in 2002 and has since specialised
exclusively in Clinical Negligence. Having trained
with OMM before qualifying as a solicitor, he was
made a partner in the firm in 2006. He is also a
member of the Law Society Clinical Negligence panel. |
Tom Osborne
Consultant – Clinical Negligence |
| Tom was for 25 years the senior partner of OMM and is now a
consultant with the firm. He is a specialist in
catastrophic injuries and medical negligence,
and has developed a specialist interest in cerebral
palsy claims. In his role as consultant, Tom continues
to conduct substantial clinical negligence litigation
in Scotland, bringing his expertise and dynamic
approach to a new jurisdiction. He has retained
a special-interest in the head injury and is still
actively involved in Headway, and between 1992
and 1994, was national chairman of the charity. |
Fiona Burne
Solicitor – Wills, Trusts and Probate |
| Fiona studied Law at the University of Sheffield, going on to complete the Legal Practice Court in London. She then trained at a well-respected firm in Hertfordshire and qualified as a Solicitor in 2008 into Wills, Probate and Estate Planning. Fiona has recently spent eighteen months working in the charitable legacy team of a leading dementia charity, and this experience has enhanced her practical and sympathetic approach to her work. Having been involved in many contentious cases, Fiona’s passion is to explain how the law affects clients and to reach the best outcome for them whilst also working to prevent arguments in the future. Fiona recently joined Osborne Morris & Morgan as part of the expansion of the firm’s Wills and Probate team and is happy to see clients in Leighton Buzzard or at our office in Bletchley. |
Helen Thompson
Solicitor |
| Helen was admitted as a Solicitor in 2009 having trained at OMM. Since qualification Helen has specialised in Clinical Negligence Litigation and has gained a range of experience in both large and smaller value claims. |
Sarah Crook
Legal Executive |
| Sarah qualified as a Legal Executive in June 2010 and as a Licensed Conveyancer in September 2010. Now working primarily in the commercial property department after several years in residential conveyancing, Sarah is leading the implementation of the new IT strategies within both commercial and residential property work at OMM. |
Lesley Bailey
Practice Manager |
| Having had previous accounts
experience with a London law firm, Lesley joined
OMM in 1982 to assist in managing the firm’s
finances. As the role expanded to include Practice
Administration, Lesley completed courses in business
management at post-graduate level to enable her
to support Peter Morgan in his role as Managing
Partner. She is also focusing on OMM plans for
the longer term future, and in maintaining OMM’s
Lexcel accreditation first awarded to the firm
in 2003. |
Sean Street
|
| Sean has been with the firm
for a number of years. He is a member of the
Association of Accounting Technicians. Sean specialises
in handling the financial aspects of the Court
of Protection department including the annual
accounts, tax computations and tax returns. He
generally assists with the smooth running of the
financial systems utilised in the department and
is always ready to help with any queries raised
on behalf of clients. |
